Current violent conflicts in Africa are usually caused by bad governance, poverty, SALW proliferation, human rights violations and emerging issues including terrorism and violent extremism. The challenge is how Nairobi Declaration Pillar 3 “peace and stability of Africa” could be delivered on the ground. Civic Commmission for Africa and Japan Citizen’s Network for TICAD
will host a TICAD7 official side event “Proposal by civil society on conflict resolution and peace building in Africa”, which focuses on recommendation from African civil society to tackle these issues.
